BMW Z4 will soon evolve to accommodate a four-cylinder engine. This operation downisizing, announced on Twitter by our American colleagues of Automobile Magazine, would be to the detriment of the entry-level version sDrive23i, which would thus lose its 6-cylinder 204 horsepower.
The new block should not be less powerful. It will therefore comprise at least 200 horsepower. The operation could take place in the year, perhaps for the Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled for the fall.
As iconic as it is, if confirmed, this decision is not a real surprise, BMW is already on its way of downsizing for many other models.
