Official: Volkswagen XL1, the concept that consumes 0.9 liters per cent
XL1 Volkswagen presented the concept at the Auto Show in Qatar. In addition to consumption impressive XL1 shows how the Germans will evolve the current design.
XL1 Concept Volkswagen returns to media attention at the Auto Show in Qatar. This time, the concept that debuted in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show called XL1 and presents interesting changes. First, the model is close to maturity required for the production and its appearance looks like a visible trend Volkswagen range. The interior has several elements already found on today's models, while the front shows broadly what we imagine to be the future of the Scirocco.
According to Volkswagen's XL1 model has an average consumption of 0.9 liters per cent. XL1 concept is equipped with a TDI engine with two cylinders in line and receive a contribution of an electric motor powered by lithium-ion battery. That engine develops 48 hp, while the electric motor provides 27 hp. The two units are coupled to a DSG transmission with seven reports and assisted by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion. The prototype can run 100% electric mode for 35 miles and deliver, on average, 24 grams of CO2 per km.
