Deputy Murcielago will use a completely new 6.5-liter V12 engine.
Today, Lamborghini released a headquarters official information and photos of the new V12 engine of the brand. It is intended to alternate of the Murcielago, which according to recent information, not to say Jota, a Aventador.
Aspirated V12 engine is 6.5 liters in volume and is described as L539. Delivers power of 700 hp at 8250 rpm and maximum torque of 690 Nm at 5500 rpm.
The new engine was developed in the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese brand and has a weight of only 234 kg. Twelve-cylinder beast is developed and special gearbox with 7 degrees and a connector. Its weight does not exceed 70 kilograms, and according to engineers at Lamborghini new transmission guarantee a 50% faster gear changing from the familiar dual-clutch transmissions.
Transmission will offer three modes - Strada, Sport and Corsa. The first mode is comfortable and offers automatic shifting. Sport is used for more dynamic driving and Corsa is designed to track events and includes a Launch Control.
According to preliminary information the prospective Lamborghini Aventador will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km / hour in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km / h.
The chassis will be built of carbon fiber, a total weight not exceeding 1500 kg.
The price of the vehicle will start from around € 350,000.
