2011 2012 Hyundai Sonata and Genesis Live - Sao Paulo Auto Show 2010
Hyundai seems willing to "take off" his image of SUVs. This at least is the impression that the company passes through their booth at the auto show. Although the area highlighted SUVs with which the South Korean manufacturer has gained fame in domestic market (Tucson, Veracruz, Santa Fe and ix35), the main attractions are the new Equus sedans, Genesis and Sonata. The latter, incidentally, was the star of a press conference recently. With a fresh look (and considered "state of the art technology Hyundai), the Sonata will be marketed in the country from next year with a 2.0 engine equipped with variable control (intake and exhaust) capable of generating 178 horsepower, and exchange with optional 6-speed swap for butterflies along the road. The price, however, was not disclosed.
Another novelty is the Genesis luxury model will be positioned above the Azera. Its engine is a 3.8-liter V6 with 290 hp, and the exchange is sequential 6-speed automatic with manual option trading (on toe). The design, however, is far more conservative than the Sonata.
Equally sobering is the style of Equus, which will come to be the most luxurious Hyundai range in the country. And not for less: the three-volume under the hood has a V8 engine with variable controls the intake and exhaust, foreign exchange and 6-speed rear-wheel drive. Preferring the comfort of the occupants, Equus offers nine airbags, navigation system and wood flooring with inserts, among other items. Side curtain airbags (with electric) and even a refrigerator built are among the items available for convenience.
