Skoda Fabia and Roomster prices list 2010
Fresh from their Geneva unveiling, Skoda has confirmed how much its revised Fabia, Estate and Roomster models will cost when they go on sale in April.
The new Fabia hatch line-up will start from £9,330 for the 60bhp 1.2-litre petrol, a £300 rise from the outgoing model, and tops out at £14,100 for a 1.6TDI Elegance. Fabia Estates cost from £10,425-£14,895. The Roomster range now starts at £11,260, again £300 more than before.
All cars get subtle tweaks to their looks. But while the styling revisions are restrained, a new range of engines offers much improved fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The firm has added the 1.2 TSI 105bhp petrol engine to the Fabia line-up, coupled to a seven-speed DSG gearbox. The unit replaces the 1.6 105bhp Tiptronic and returns 53.3 mpg and 124g/km, a 56g/km CO2 emissions reduction over the previous engine. An 85bhp version of the unit is also available, as is a five-speed manual transmission.
All engines comply with EU5 emissions standards, with both 1.6 TDI units emitting less than 110g/km CO2. Diesel prices start at £11,840. Skoda is yet to announce prices for its Geneva show star, the Fabia vRS, although prices they will be similar to the £16,545 SEAT Ibiza Cupra, which shares the same powertrain.via
