As you may know already Nissan revealed the all-new Micra at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month and it will start selling it from July. What you don’t know is that the Indian unit of the Renault-Nissan alliance, because there the Micra is going to be built, aims to sell more than 80,000 units in the financial year ending March 2011.
“Exports, which will be a major portion of sales, will start in the second half of 2010,” Akira Sakurai, chief operating officer of Renault Nissan Automotive India, told reporters. Globally, Nissan’s target is to sell 1 million units per year for its new Micra, which will be sold in 160 countries including European markets and Japan.
