2010 Infiniti FX35/FX50

Completely redesigned for 2009, the Infiniti FX undergoes only changes to its features and options for 2010. A USB port with iPod interface is standard equipment, while the available Bose premium audio system adds a Music Box hard drive, and the navigation system now contains Bluetooth Streaming Audio and a Zagat Restaurant Guide.

The FX is available as the FX35, with 3.5-litre V6, or as the FX50, with 5.0-litre V8, both with a standard seven-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control, downshift rev matching, and magnesium paddle shifters. Both models use Infiniti’s ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system, which includes a Snow-Mode function that adjusts the throttle input for low-speed slippery road conditions.

Features on the FX35 include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, heated mirrors with puddle lamps, privacy glass, power sunroof, roof rails, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, Bluetooth connectivity, heated and cooled eight-way power leather seats with memory, 60/40 split-folding reclining second-row seat, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, illuminated vanity mirrors, garage door opener, cargo net, cargo cover, CD/MP3 Bose eleven-speaker audio system, USB port, iPod interface, XM satellite radio, auto up/down windows, rearview monitor, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, rear wiper, compass, power sunroof, and security system.

The FX50 adds 21-inch alloy wheels, advanced climate control system, navigation system, 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive, Around View Monitor, and hand-stained maple wood trim.

The FX35 can be optioned with a Navigation & Mobile Entertainment package, which adds voice-activated navigation system, 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive, eight-inch colour monitor, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Around View Monitor, four parking sensors, rear-seat DVD system with widescreen display, and Zagat Restaurant Guide; or a Technology Package of distance control assist, intelligent brake assist, intelligent cruise control, lane departure prevention system, lane departure warning system, low-speed following, pre-crash seatbelts, rain-sensing wipers, and adaptive and auto-levelling headlamps.

The FX50 can also be optioned with the Technology Package, as well as a Mobile Entertainment System rear-seat DVD system with widescreen display; and a Sport Package of 21-inch summer tires, paddle shifters, rear-active steering, sport seats with thigh extenders, power driver’s seat bolster adjustment, dark tinted headlamps, and continuous damping control sport suspension.
