GENERAL MOTORS is all set to launch the highly anticipated Chevrolet Beat small car model on 4 January, one day before the start of the Auto Expo 2010. Chevrolet Beat will put on display at the Auto Expo 2010, which goes from 5 January at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi starting.
Chevrolet Beat is in petrol and diesel version of a small segment so far. The view from the beat is sporty and elegant. The fuel consumption is up to 14 cmpl in the city and 18 highway expected cmpl.
The petrol versions of the Chevrolet Beat will of the 1.2 L, 1199 cc powered MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine with five speed manual gearbox and produces 82bhp of maximum power.
While the diesel variant of Chevrolet Beat will be powered by the 1.0L, 936cc three-cylinder diesel engine with five speed manual gearbox and produces 57bhp of maximum power. Chevrolet Beat expected safety features are ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) ensures the car is never out of control, control during emergency braking on slippery surfaces, dual front airbags, seat belt warning indicator, head restraints that counteract the risk of whiplash in the passenger seat, 3 rear head restraints and ISOFIX child seat mounting preparation.
