Opel announces the arrival on the European market Opel Corsa ecoFLEX 1.3 CDTI equipped the new 95 bhp. The new engine was developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies and also equipped EVO Punto and Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.3 JTDM-2, thanks to the agreement of 2005 which provided for the exchange of technology between the House and the Italian American.
The four-cylinder turbo-diesel common-rail system has evolved with primers that control with high precision the amount of oil that enters the combustion chamber and a new variable geometry turbo that provides 28% more power and 10% consumption less than the previous generation of the Corsa ecoFLEX. The power unit approved Euro 5, it produces an output of 95 hp and maximum torque of 190 Nm available between 1,750 and 3250 rpm, and drives the Corsa to a top speed of 177 km / h, while the 100 km / h from standstill in 12.3 seconds touch. The good performance is accompanied by emissions amounted to 98 g / km of CO2 released into the air, while on the average, the small German promises to "drink" only 3.7 liters per 100 kilometers traveled.
To help the economy to achieve low fuel consumption and engine emissions reduced Teutonic engineers have also improved the aerodynamics of the car, lowering the chassis by 20 mm and optimized air flow, as well as provide it with 175/70 tires at low rolling resistance coupled with 14-inch wheels with wheel covers less air resistance.
The new Opel Corsa ecoFLEX 1.3 CDTI 95 CV will be marketed in Germany in January 2010, with regard to debut on the Italian market mature enough in the spring.
